GRABHOSTEL ROOM RENTALS (DTI Registration No.: 7129615) respects the privacy of individuals with regard to personal data and is committed to protecting the privacy of the User (as defined in the Terms and Conditions) and/or the Owner (as defined in the Terms and Conditions”) and strives to provide a safe and secure user experience.

This Privacy Policy is formulated in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“Act”), which describes how the User’s and/or the Owner’s personal data is/are collected and used. We hope this Privacy Policy will help the User and/or the Owner to make an informed decision about sharing the User’s and/or the Owner’s personal data with us.
The Users and/or the Owners hereby expressly unconditionally, irrevocably and unequivocally acknowledge(s), covenant(s), consent(s) and agree(s) with us that we may access, preserve and disclose any of the personal data that the User and/or the Owner make(s) available to us when accessing or using or registering as a User or Owner on www.grabhostel.com (“this Website”), if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such access, preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) respond to claims asserted against us; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation, customer support, product development and de-bugging purposes, (d) to protect the rights, property or personal safety of us, our users, or members of the public and for all other general purposes stipulated under paragraph 2(1) below. The User and/or the Owner hereby expressly undertake(s), confirm(s), agree(s), warrant(s) and covenant(s) with us that the User and/or the Owner will not hold us liable and/or seek any legal and/or equitable remedy from us for any damages, expenses, costs and/or losses of whatsoever nature suffered and/or incurred by the User and/or the Owner and/or any third party as a direct and/or indirect result of any of access, preservation or disclosure of the User’s and/or the Owner’s personal data. If the User and/or the Owner does/do not agree to this provision, then we cannot provide the platform to the User and/or the Owner, and the User and/or the Owner should stop accessing this Website and deactivate the User’s and/or the Owner’s account. Otherwise, the User and/or the Owner will be deemed to have expressly consented to this provision if the User’s and/or the Owner’s use(s) or continue(s) to use this Website as far so long as the User and/or the Owner is still a registered user of this Website.

If the User makes booking through this Website or the Owner creates listing or accepts booking through this Website, we will note, for example, credit card information, the tenure of tenancy, the check-in time and date and the details of room listed, booked or reserved. We collect personal data when the User and/or the Owner register, log on, or visit this Website, including communications between the User and the Owner and/or the User and the Owner with us and/or with each other through this Website.

(b) Personal Data From Others.
We are constantly improving the contents of this Website. To aid in serving the User and/or the Owner better we may supplement personal data that we have collected directly from the User and/or the Owner with other personal data that we obtain offline about the Users or from third parties or from our affiliates. In addition, we may obtain personal data about individuals who are not yet users and/or owners of this Website. To ensure the User’s and/or the Owner’s privacy when we associate personal data that we obtained from third parties with personal data that we have collected under this Privacy Policy, we will treat the acquired personal data like the personal data that we collected ourselves.

2. Use of the User’s and/or the Owner’s Email Address Provide to Us.
The User’s and/or the Owner’s email address(es) is/are considered personal data. For example, we may scan, review and analyse the communications between the User and the Owner exchanged through this Website in the event if there is any dispute or disagreement or misunderstanding or miscommunication between the User and the Owner. We may also scan, review or analyse messages for research and product development purposes to help make search, booking, listing and user and/or owner communications more efficient and effective. The User’s and/or the Owner’s use of this Website constitute(s) the User’s and/or the Owner’s irrevocably, unconditionally and unequivocally consent(s), acceptance(s) and acknowledge(s) that we may, at any time or from time to time, at our discretion, scan, review, analyse and store your communications, whether done manually or through automated means.

4. Affiliate, Booking Partner and/or Referring Partner.
In order to provide the best service to the User and/or the Owner, we may share the User’s and/or the Owner’s personal data with our Affiliate, Booking Partner and/or Referring Partner.
